Richard Fox, George & Ann Basgall owners of
Twin Oaks and hosts Jim and Cindy Larson held the 1st annual motorcycle poker
run with a portion of the proceeds donated to Washburn County Area Humane
Society! This wonderful group of people donated $190.00 to the shelter! There
were a number of prizes donated from participating establishments that included
Twin Oaks, Crow Bar, Fish Bowl Long Branch, Stanberry Tav, The Prime and other
supporters such as Shane Irons/The Stone Pony, Budweiser and Miller Brewing.
Prizes were handed out and dinner was served after the ride. Weather may have
held back some additional riders but all in all the weather held out and the
event was a success!!! Thank you to everyone involved for not only their
participation but for caring about our county's homeless animals!
Results of the 2010 Pet Walk...
Thank you to all who particpated in the 2010 Pet Walk and the businesses who supported us with sponsorships, food and prizes! The event brought in over $2100 for the Washburn County Area Humane Society. In addition, the Coins for Critters Competition in grades K-6 in Spooner, Shell Lake and Northwood brought in an additional $2100!
